Inspirations can come from everywhere. Anything that you see, feel, hear or even touch can be used to create something equally inspirational. It might be a work of art, music, clothing, or some other tangible object.
There are boundless things around us that could potentially drive our own inspirations...and of course there are even richer and more valuable inspirations when “The Eye” has a chance to travel...
When my “Eye” travelled to few Wats (temples) in Bangkok, I saw with much appreciation, several beautiful ornate buildings; their doorways and stairs were strikingly decorative. From these, my thoughts started to wonder about the significance of such design & ornamentation.
I browsed my photographs over and over again and realized that their exquisite ornate motif details (shapes, textures, and colours) are actually works of art in themselves…and their wonderful patterns could be used in textiles, garments or interior design. Magnificent!
With the help of the “Repper” software, I began to generate the patterns from all of the motifs that came from the Wats (temples) and the surrounding buildings.
Let’s take our eye to travel to these patterns…
